intelligence.cyrannus.nexus: the Directorate's channels, on the site

The Intelligence Directorate does not use the Discord server for its own business. It has its own address, intelligence.cyrannus.nexus, served by this site: channels by category, direct and group conversations, a members list with who is there now, and a ledger of who read what. Sign in with Roblox on this site and you are signed in there too; then you choose a passphrase.

01It opens for the Directorate's group and nobody else.Your grade there is read from the Cyrannus Intelligence Directorate group on Roblox every minute: Analyst, Agent, Senior Agent, Field Officer, Section Chief, Deputy Director, Director. Leave the group and the door closes with you. Site staff who are not in the Directorate have no way in.
02Two things to know: Roblox, and a passphrase of your own.The first time, you choose a passphrase of eight characters or more. It is asked once a day on each device you use, five wrong tries make the account wait a quarter of an hour, and a screen left alone for fifteen minutes locks itself. Nobody can read it back; a Section Chief or above can reset it, and then you choose a new one. Your devices are listed on your screen there, and one you no longer have can be revoked.
03Each channel says who reads it and who writes.A channel is open from a grade up: the Briefing is read by everyone and written by Section Chiefs and above; the Field is for Agents and above; the Directorate for Section Chiefs and above. Section Chiefs and above make, set and archive channels, pin and remove any message; the Director can burn a channel or lock the whole place.
04Talk the way you would anywhere.Reply to a message, react to it, edit your own, name someone with @, see who is typing and who has seen what you wrote. Write to one member, or open a group of several; either side sets how long a conversation keeps its messages, an hour to kept, and a message can be marked to go five minutes after it is read.
05Everything you read there carries your name.Your name, a five-letter code of your own and the minute are laid faintly across every screen, and invisibly into every line of text. A photo, a capture or a paste of anything from there reads back to you. Selecting, copying, dragging and printing are off, and the screen veils itself when you leave the window.
06Sealed channels show one message at a time.In a sealed channel each message is blurred until you hold it, with a finger or the mouse, and blurred again when you let go.
07Messages expire, and who read what is on the record.Each channel keeps its messages for a set time or keeps them; what has expired is gone. Opening a channel, writing, editing, removing, every passphrase entered right or wrong, every new device: on the ledger, with the device it was done from. Deputy Directors and above read it and can trace a leaked line back to the reader it was shown to.

What it does not do

It cannot stop a phone taking a picture of another phone's screen. What it does is make sure the picture says who was looking and when, and make every quieter way out harder than it is worth. Nothing written there is posted to Discord, put in an export, or found by the search on this site.
