Leave and quota

What a week asks of you, and how to be excused from it

The Empire is a roleplay group, and a roleplay group is only alive when people turn up. So each week asks something of everyone, it is counted from what hosts mark, and a member who cannot be there for a while says so in advance and is excused. Nothing here is a punishment; it is how command knows who is there.

The quota

1. 01Two events attended a week.Attended means marked present by the host after the event; saying you are coming counts for nothing. Any event counts: a training, a patrol, a meeting on Discord. The week runs Monday to Sunday, by UTC.
2. 02For officers, one event hosted a week as well.Command in the Empire group, rank 8, and High Command. An event counts as hosted once you have marked who came. Staff and the throne have no hosting quota.
3. 03Your account shows where you stand.Your week, on the Account screen: attended so far, hosted so far, days left. The home screen says the same when you are short. Ask the search: my quota.
4. 04A week on leave does not count, nor the week you arrived.Approved leave covering any day of the week excuses the whole week. So does the week your account was made.
5. 05Command sees the whole list.The Quota screen in the Command Center lists everyone against the week, short first, this week or last, by division. Monday's report to High Command names who was short.
6. 06Being short is a conversation, not a sanction.What follows from a quiet week is command's to decide, inside the division. The site records; it does not demote.

Leave of absence

1. 01Ask on your account, under Leave, for a reason.What kind: personal, school or exams, work, health, travel, or something else. From when, until when: a day at the least, two weeks at the most, up to sixty days ahead. Why, in a few words; health needs no detail beyond that.
2. 02A month allows two weeks of leave in all.In one leave or several: a day here and there is fine, and two weeks at once is the whole month's allowance, so nothing more until the next month. A leave over the turn of a month spends from each. Your account says how much of the month is left.
3. 03Three days or fewer is noted on the spot.No decision needed. You are on leave from the start date and it shows beside your name at once.
4. 04Longer waits on High Command.High Command in one of your divisions decides, in the Command Center; any High Command if you are in none; the throne always can. Until they do, nothing is held against you either, and the request is visible to them. A request nobody decided by the day it begins is approved by the clock.
5. 05Declined, you are told why.The word they leave is on your account. You can ask again with different dates.
6. 06Back early, say so.I am back on your account ends the leave that day. Withdraw takes back a request that is still waiting.
7. 07One at a time.A leave that stands or waits has to end before another is asked for. Longer than two weeks away is a word with your command, not a leave.

Leave requests, approvals, declines and endings are told to #loa-logs on the Discord server, and the roster, the Command Center and your profile all show On leave while it stands.
