Before, arriving, during and after, and what each kind of event asks of you

An event is where the Empire happens and where your record is made. The guide Events says how the screen works; this says how to be at one.

Before

1. 01Say you are coming, and mean it.The host plans on the count. If you cannot make it after all, change your answer before it starts; a name that said yes and did not come is what a host remembers.
2. 02Read the details.What to bring, where to be, who it is for. A tryout says what is tested; an operation says what to expect; a ceremony says dress.
3. 03Uniform on, weapon lowered, five minutes early.Late is a word from the host. Late without a word beforehand is absent.

Arriving

1. 01Report to the host.In the chat, rank and name, that you are here. Then fall in where you are told.
2. 02Answer the roll with your rank and name.It is how the host knows who came. Unanswered is not marked, and not marked is not there.

During

1. 01The host runs it.Whatever their rank and yours. A higher rank present who is not the host is a guest, and acts like one.
2. 02The chat is the radio.Short, in character, to the point. Out-of-character talk is for Discord afterwards. Questions when the host asks for them.
3. 03Stay to the end.A host may not mark someone who left before the end, and does not have to explain why. If you must go, say so in the chat and expect not to be marked.
4. 04The standing orders apply.Your division's, and the Army's under them. Weapons discipline most of all.

After

The host marks who came, the same day, and may write a report. Your account shows the event under your events the moment it is marked; your profile counts it; your week counts it. Not marked when you were there? A word to the host first, then to your chain. Nobody else can mark you, and nobody marks a week later from memory.

By kind

1. 01Training.Drill, weapons, formations. Do what is shown, exactly, until it is right. Corrections are the point; take them without a word.
2. 02Patrol.A shift in uniform under a leader, with a route and a purpose. The leader speaks to civilians and other formations; everyone else keeps station and keeps quiet.
3. 03Tryout.Selection for a division. What is tested is in the details; what is watched is how you take an order and a correction. The division's command marks who passed as who came.
4. 04Operation.A planned action with an objective, briefed before anyone moves. The brief is the plan; the team leader's word is the order. Nothing about it is said outside the team until the report is posted.
5. 05Inspection.Uniform, conduct and readiness, checked in formation. Stand still, answer when asked, and expect the result in #inspection.
6. 06Ceremony.Promotions, awards, a parade. Dress uniform, in formation, no chat but the drill's. The Crownguard stands the guard; everyone else stands where the host puts them.
7. 07Meeting.Command, a division, a Council session or the whole Empire, on Discord or in game. One speaks at a time, to the chair. A Council session is minuted; what the minutes do not say was not decided.
